Now that Camila Cabello has officially left the group, fans have taken to calling Fifth Harmony Fourth Harmony. But don’t get too used to it because the girls insist that will never be their name.
Speaking with MTV, Lauren Jauregui said,
“It was obviously a thought just because it was a prevalent thing that there’s four of us and not five. Regardless, we are all very united on the fact that we didn’t want to change the name… Fifth Harmony is the name that we grew with. It’s our brand. It’s who we are. It’s our whole entire moment, what we spent five years on.”
We can understand that. The girls spent years cultivating their brand and image and the loss of one member shouldn’t necessary change that.
Dinah Jane added,
“The fans named us Fifth Harmony. They named us Fifth Harmony and now they’re the fifth member.”
A little cheesy but we’re down! What Dinah’s referring to is when fans voted on a name for the band during their stint on X Factor.
No matter what they call themselves, 5H seems to be only getting better. They just released their new single “Down” and it’s awesome! The members have also experimented with their own projects as well — Normani appeared as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars and Lauren released a new single “Strangers” with Halsey.
