Ashley Graham, aka the biggest plus-size model in the world, would very much like to bring body diversity to Victoria’s Secret runway.
While appearing on Andy Cohen’s show Watch What Happens Live!, Ashley said,
“Victoria’s Secret, call me. I will walk your runway. I will wear those wings, honey. And I will wear it with confidence.”
Yes! We would love that! The average woman in the U.S. is a size 16, so we bet the public would love that too!
This is, of course, not the first time that Graham has made her feelings known. During the 2016 Victoria’s Secret runway show, Ashley tweeted a drawing of herself as an angel with the caption “Watching the angels tonight like.”
She later told TMZ,
“Of course I saw the big show. It was incredible. Oh yeah, I mean… When Victoria’s Secret calls me and asks me to be on their runway, I’m gonna say yes. Victoria’s Secret, I’m here for you.”
Victoria’s Secret has long been the target of criticism for the lack of body diversity. There was even a Change.org petition in 2014 to get the company to show every type of body on the runway.
Not only does Ashley represent a new type of body for VS, but she’s also a fantastic model and any brand should be proud to have her wear their clothes.
Michael Kors recently asked Graham to walk the runway for NYFW, making her the first plus-size model for the brand ever. She rocked it, naturally.
