7 inches for planned parenthood

7 inches for Planned Parenthood is the latest celebrity-infused benefit in response to the current political administration.

This project is already getting a lot of buzz and we are really excited about it.

Featuring the likes of John Legend, St. Vincent, Bon Iver, Feist, and more, this project will produce two 7″ vinyl releases that will be available as digital downloads and a box set.

Bustle reports that the project comprises exclusive releases, comedic performances, and original music.

Although we don’t know every artist who will be featured and exactly what they’ll perform, we do know that 100% of the proceeds go directly to Planned Parenthood.

In addition to raising money, this amazing collaboration will raise awareness. Brandon Stosuy, the creative director, told Entertainment Weekly,

“All the proceeds go to Planned Parenthood, but more importantly, I’m hoping 7-Inches for Planned Parenthood can exist in some way in popular culture and maybe make people who hadn’t previously thought of Planned Parenthood as an organization start to consider how essential it is for so many people. Money’s important, obviously, but the more people are thinking about Planned Parenthood, and understanding it, and realizing it needs to survive, the better.”

Less than 2 weeks ago, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, and more teamed up for a Facebook Livestream to benefit the ACLU. We seem to be at the stage in our nation where we are trying to turn feelings into actions. We’re glad some celebs are using their platform to make a change.
