We couldn’t adore This is Us star Milo Ventimiglia more. He’s talented, handsome, and now apparently quite charitable.
The actor recently appeared in See America’s new #EyePic campaign aimed at fighting preventable blindness. According to the PSA, around 80 million Americans have a disease that could lead to blindness.
We are all for stars stepping up for a good cause but the video itself is a bit… strange. The video has Milo attempting to spew facts about blindness in America while a director keeps interrupting. We get that they were trying to mix it up a bit from the usual PSA format but we can’t help but think there was a better way to do it. The stats seem to get lost and the actual charity work is overshadowed.
Hopefully, fans will be able to overlook the bizarre video and see the real message of Milo’s campaign: to spread awareness about preventable blindness.
Ventimiglia was recently nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama for This is Us. The show was nominated for four other Emmys as well including one for Oustanding Drama Series and one for Chrissy Metz for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama. Congrats guys!
