Last night Beyonce shook the internet with the debut of the twins Sir Carter and Rumi to celebrate their one-month birthday.
The reveal was pure Beyonce — dramatic and fabulous in all the right ways. But while everyone was focused on Bey’s babies, as well as her post-pregnancy body, we couldn’t help but feast our eyes on her sweet AF floral coat. The coat, which Beyonce wore more like a robe, was courtesy of Palomo Spain. Never heard of it? Let us fill you in.
Palomo debuted at NYFW just this past February with some badass couture designs. Oh, and did we mention they were technically menswear. Yeah.
Although “menswear” really isn’t the right word — as Vogue put it at the time, the clothes are better described as “post-drag.”
Palomo said at his NYFW show,
“It’s about the sexual self. There are boys looking for other boys—seducing and being seduced. Some are virgins and you can only look at them.”
We love that Queen B chose to go with a little-known designer instead of a big name, and a gender fluid brand at that. She has such influence and to bring attention to such amazing designs, especially in one of the most anticipated pics of the year, just makes us love her even more.
Below is a pic from Palomo Spain’s Instagram of one of their male models rocking the coat. Who wore it best? You decide.
