Anyone who’s ever worn a size 6, 8, 10 or 12 knows how unbelievably difficult it can be to find flattering clothes, let alone jeans.
I’ve spent the last year trying to find the perfect pair of pants and just when I’d nearly given up, I found them: high waisted, soft, stretchy but still holds you in, no gap in the back of the waist, and short enough for my 5’2″ frame.
I realize this sounds impossible. But somehow American Eagle — yes, the store from your childhood — has made the perfect pair of jeans. And they’re only $50.
Normally, this is more than I’d spend on a pair of pants. But they were so worth it. Not to mention that you can usually find a pair on sale online.
Anyone who considers themself an “inbetweener” (aka in between plus and straight sizes) knows that a good fitting pair of pants is like a unicorn. Straight-sized clothing aren’t really designed with curvy girls in mind and plus-sized brands usually don’t start until size 12 or 14.
And that’s why I’m so grateful I found these: American Eagle’s Ne(X)t Level Super High Waisted Jeggings. The pants come in multiple washes and five rise option (although I’m partial to the super high waisted because they hold in my stomach). They’re also available in short, long, and regular and sizes 00-20.
Below are a few of my favorite pairs. Please forgive that all the photos are of size 2 women — they’re all they had on the American Eagle website (womp womp).
