The Rabbinical Assembly means business.

Conservative Rabbis are getting serious about transgender rights — and it’s about time! The Rabbinical Assembly, aka an international assembly of conservative rabbis, came out with their “Resolution Affirming the Rights of Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming People,” and we are so thrilled at their attempt to become a true ally to the Trans community!

As part of the resolution, the assembly announced they:

“Encourage all Conservative Movement synagogues, camps, schools, and affiliated organizations to work toward becoming explicitly welcoming, safe spaces for transgender and gender non-conforming people and evaluate their physical site needs, workplace needs, and language that impact gender and gender expression.”

We sincerely hope synagogues will take their words to heart and truly embrace the Trans community into their congregations.
