She’s just getting started.
She may be a chart-topping, award-winning, international sensation, but Demi Lovato is far from done. In fact, she’s just getting started.
At least, that’s what she told Refinery29 when she sat down for a tell-all interview about music, Twitter, and most importantly, her career.
Next up for Demi is her big tour with pal Nick Jonas. But just because her album is out and the tour dates are set doesn’t mean she’s not still thinking five steps ahead.
“By the time I go on tour, I want to be able to perform new songs. Ideally, I would release a single next month,” she said.
The singer has already released two singles from her newest album Confident including “Cool for the Summer” and “Confident.” And while the songs were both huge hits, Demi was pretty disappointed neither hit number one.
“I was really bummed about it because that’s what I was going for,” she admitted.
And while she’s proved herself, again and again, Demi still thinks there’s more to do.
“I’m still underestimated. I still have more things to prove — not just about the things I can do with my voice. Some people think that because I’m young, I can’t stay sober. But these are things I want to prove to myself.”
Demi also did an awesome photo shoot for the site, which you can view here.
