Leave it to Emma Watson to put critics in their place!
The most recent instance is in response to the ludicrous backlash of her photo shoot with Vanity Fair. In the photo shoot, Emma poses for a tasteful and slightly revealing photo that has been the reception of Internet hate.
Perhaps one of the strongest critics of the photo is Julia Hartley-Brewer, a British radio commentator. She tweeted the following:
Emma Watson: “Feminism, feminism… gender wage gap… why oh why am I not taken seriously… feminism… oh, and here are my tits!” pic.twitter.com/gb7OvxzRH9
— Julia Hartley-Brewer (@JuliaHB1) March 1, 2017
The tweets resulted in a social media debate between supporters and critics alike.
“Feminism is about giving women choice. Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women with. It’s about freedom. It’s about liberation. It’s about equality. It’s not — I really don’t know what my t*ts have to do with it.”
What a #boss. All in a day’s work.
