There’s enough room for everyone to say hello.

Ever since Adele’s latest hit “Hello” hit the air waves, folks have been stirring up a shit storm, comparing her song to Lionel Richie’s of the same name, which is frankly just ridiculous.

Both music legends in their own right, Lionel and Adele certainly have nothing to worry about though. In fact, Lionel thinks the whole thing is laughable and told the Metro:

Yeah she ran off down the road with it. It’s hilarious, the entire world called me going: ‘Are you gonna let her get away with that? She stole your song!’ I don’t own the word hello, I own a song called Hello. The joke is that she’s such a sweetheart. There’s a generation that will grow up with Adele’s Hello but still know my Hello, and l’m very happy that it happened that way.”

Thank you for clearing things up, Lionel! Can we all please move on from this silliness? Ok good.
