Survivors of rape and sexual assault are coming together across the United States to build the most beautiful quilt.

The project, called the Monument Quilt, has been making its way from coast to coast, giving survivors a safe and public space to express themselves. The projects website describes it as,

“Written, stitched, and painted onto red fabric, our stories are displayed in city and town centers to create and demand public space to heal.

Particularly, the quilt “builds a new culture where survivors are publicly supported, rather than publicly shamed.”

So beautiful! To date, over 1,000 squares have been created and displayed across the country. Check out photos of the quilt below.

Her favorite Housewife is Bethenny Frankel (by far!), but when she’s not watching RHONY, you can probably find her hanging with her kitty Tom or tweeting at Sen. Chuck Schumer.
