New Yorkers had a powerful message for Donald Trump this past weekend.

Over one thousand people gathered in New York City’s Times Square for the “I am A Muslim Too” rally in response to Trump’s immigration policies.

The event drew participants across many faiths. Carrying “No Muslim Ban” signs and flags, gatherers joined in solidarity with their Muslim brothers and sisters.

The event included speakers Mayor Bill de Blasio, Susan Sarandon, and Russell Simmons, who headlined the event. Said Simmons, “We are living in a time when unity will make America great. This is a special moment for all Americans of goodwill to band together to promote the kind of compassion and equality for others that we want for ourselves”.

May events like this continue until our voices are heard loud and clear. Mr. President, we will not be silenced. Love and tolerance will prevail!
