In case anyone is questioning former Vice president Joe Biden’s confidence, let him correct you. If he truly wanted to be president, he could have been. At least, that’s what his data told him.

During a recent speech at Colgate University, Biden discussed the past Presidential election and noted,

“I had planned on running for president. And although it would have been a very difficult primary, I think I could have won.”

Apparently he also had collected date prior to the election that indicated that he would have won if he had been the democratic nominee.

He added,

“So, I don’t regret not running. Do I regret not being president? Yes.”

Although many had hoped Biden would run in 2016, and even began campaigning on his behalf, the former VP decided against running for a variety of reasons. One reason included the death of his son Beau, who died in early 2015. Biden explained,

“I didn’t run because no man or woman should announce they’re running for president of the United States unless they can look the public in the eye and promise you they can give you 100 percent.”

Hopefully Biden hasn’t ruled out running in 2020, as we think he could be an excellent president and leader. As for our current president, Biden stated,

“I really hope he grows into the job a little bit. I don’t have a lot of hope right now. … I hope that he succeeds.”

Biden’s well-wishes for President Trump are more than Trump has returned in the past. Most recently Trump condemned the democratic party as a whole, stating the failure of the health care bill proposed by Paul Ryan was because of the democrats. Trump even added that he hoped the Affordable Care Act (also known as Obamacare) would fail just so he could rub it in the democrats’ faces.

That’s the good bi-partisan attitude we like to hear!
