Because she’s a beast
If there were ever any questions that Kelly Ripa was a beast, wonder no further. The morning show host recently admitted that she has correctly spotted skin cancer on not one, not two, but three of her friends!
The revelation came out on Live! With Kelly when she was co-hosting the show with her friend and fellow talk show host Andy Cohen, who told the story of how Kelly spotted skin cancer on him.
“I want to say, by the way, that I have to shout you out for something that you don’t know I’m going to shout you out for. But I had this black dot on my bottom lip that you and I were at a party for Anderson’s mom in April. And you said, ‘You have a black dot on your lip. I don’t think that’s something good.’ [Kelly and husband Mark Conseulos] were dogmatic that I get it checked out and I didn’t because I was like, ‘Oh no, I’m sure it’s nothing. It’s just a black dot.’ And she kept on me. Finally, I did and it was melanoma. They removed it, the whole thing, and I just want to thank you because you were so dogmatic.’
“I’m glad to see that all that money I spent visiting dermatologists was good for something because I essentially, at this point, am a dermatologist. I’m an amateur — It’s the third time I’ve picked out skin cancer on my friends.”
It’s so important to have someone like Kelly who is always looking out for you. Damn, we wish Kelly were our friend.
