Rashida Jones just gave out the best life advice to the Harvard Graduates of 2016 and we are eating it up! A Harvard grad herself, Rashida told the students to learn from her mistakes and most importantly, don’t follow the rules.

“Here’s the simple truth: You are the only one who can create the life you want, and you may have to break some rules to do that.”

Why didn’t anyone tell us that when we were 22?

She added,

In the face of all that noise, it’s harder than ever to stay committed to do the things you really care about. But don’t be distracted. Do not be dissuaded. Do not be discouraged. Keep caring. It’s not enough to talk among your friends about the problems you see in the world.”

Ugh, such good advice! And although we would probably listen to Rashida no matter what she said, this seems like something particularly good to keep in mind, no matter what age you are.

Her favorite Housewife is Bethenny Frankel (by far!), but when she’s not watching RHONY, you can probably find her hanging with her kitty Tom or tweeting at Sen. Chuck Schumer.
