Trump has already taken some ludicrous actions since taking office just over a week ago. His most recent atrocity includes a refugee ban that has many people fuming (ourselves included).

Many celebrities and esteemed companies are taking a stance when it comes to the new administration’s proposed policies. Starbucks has made their voice loud and clear as its Chairman and CEO Howard Schultz just announced some major news.

According to NPR, the company plans to hire 10,000 refugees over the next 5 years in all 75 of the countries where it does business. It will begin its effort in the United States. Schultz is also ready to stand up for his employees in Mexico, and employees who will be affected if the Affordable Care Act is repealed.

Other companies taking big steps under the new presidency include Airbnb whose CEO Brian Chesky who is offering free housing to refugees, and ride-sharing app Lyft, which is donating $1 million to the ACLU.

We look forward to seeing other companies step up to the plate. Support brands who support just causes!
