Taylor Swift graced us with her presence on the 2021 GRAMMYS red carpet and it was 100% worth the wait.

Taylor showed up in a floral-embroidered Oscar de la Renta mini dress paired with pink Christian Louboutin heels. In total, the look costs upwards of $9k — the dress itself costs a cool $8,990 and the sandals cost $995. And that doesn’t even cover the custom face mask that she wore during the ceremony itself.

But considering the outfit was pretty much perfection, I have to say that it was totally worth it. I think we can all agree Taylor got her money’s worth.

Taylor’s attendance at the Grammys is never guaranteed. The singer skipped the 2020 Grammys, probably because the Recording Academy continues to snub her almost every other year.

In 2012, her incredible third album Speak Now was completely shut out from every major category (a reminder that this is the album that brought us iconic songs like “Mine,” “Back to December,” and “Mean”).

Then, merely two years later, Taylor’s fourth album Red lost Album of the Year, despite including songs like “I Knew You Were Trouble,” “22”, “All Too Well,” and “Everything Has Changed.”

But it wasn’t until 2019 that the Recording Academy really gave Taylor the middle finger. Her sixth album Reputation received a measly *one* nomination. The album may not have been everyone’s cup of tea, but it definitely deserved better.

And it’s no wonder that Taylor skipped the 2020 GRAMMYS. Despite receiving critical acclaim for her seventh album Lover, she got only three nominations — and zero wins.

This year, Taylor was nominated for six awards and won Album of the Year for folklore. And there couldn’t be an album — or an artist — more deserving.
