Game of Thrones star Kit Harington would like to bring your attention to something very near to him: the sexualization of men in Hollywood.

“I think there is a double standard,” Kit told The Sunday Times. “I like to think of myself as more than a head of hair or a set of looks.”

He added that he felt it was “demeaning” to get booked for acting jobs only because of the way he looks.

“There’s definitely a sexism in our industry that happens towards women, and there is towards men as well … At some points during photo shoots when I’m asked to strip down, I felt that.”

Unfortunately, Kit has already been receiving a backlash, with internet commenters writing hateful things to the actor.

We totally agree with Kit, though! Sexualization in Hollywood goes both ways and we’re proud of Kit for starting the conversation.
