In case you missed the memo, California Senator Kamala Harris is pretty much a need-to-follow politician on Twitter. The badass Democrat, who tweets in both English and Spanish, never holds back and has risen to the forefront of liberal voices on Twitter. Harris tackles issues across the spectrum from climate change to reproductive justice to immigration.
Prior to getting elected to the Senate, Harris was the Attorney General of California. She currently serves on the Senate Committees of Intelligence, Environment and Public Works, and Budget. Since starting her first term in January 2017, she’s already sponsored three bills: one condemning all hate crimes, one to clarify rights to any detainees by U.S. Customs, and one designating land in California as a historical site. She’s also written an op-ed for Teen Vogue. It’s only been a few months since her election but it’s safe to say, we love her.
Below are a few tweets from Sen. Harris that will make you say “yessssss!” Make sure you follow her @SenKamalaHarris.
