Misty Copeland is the newest face of Estée Lauder!
The ballerina will be featured in print, digital, and TV advertising for the brand’s Modern Muse line.
Misty said in a statement:
“I am so honored to represent Estée Lauder Modern Muse. My two passions are dance and giving back, and I love passing on knowledge to the next generation. I also have a strong connection to the scents I wear when I perform. The Modern Muse campaign is the perfect way to see another side of my story.”
“I definitely have this strong connection to performing and being onstage with the scents that I wear. It kind of puts me in my zone and in the mood, and just feeling really beautiful, feminine and ready to perform.”
Elle reports that this is Misty’s first campaign with a beauty brand. Upon the announcement of this partnership, Copeland wrote a letter to her 13-year-old self for a piece in Glamour.
“It matters that women and girls see themselves represented in every hue and every shape, with different careers and different paths. You’re going to do that for people. That is a huge deal!”
