Yas Kween! Broad City star and published artist Abbi Jacobson is getting her own podcast! The show is called A Piece of Work and will cover modern and contemporary art.
Jacobson will invite artists, actors, and more to chat about a bicycle wheel attached to a stool, a giant canvas splattered with paint and more. She already has many famous faces signed on as guest stars including Broad City star Hannibal Buress, Tavi Gevinson, and RuPaul (who incidentally, will also guest star on season 4 of Broad City). No word yet if Ilana Glazer will guest star but if she doesn’t at least make a surprise appearance we will be sincerely disappointed! Each episode will focus on a specific piece of art ranging in styles from minimalism to pop art.
Abbi has already been given the greenlight for a full 10-episode season. The show is sponsored by the MoMA and WYNC Studios, the studio behind hit podcasts like RadioLab, 2 Dope Queens, On the Media, Nancy, and more.
Jacobson released her first hardback art book, Carry This Book in 2016, and previously released a few adult coloring books themed around New York City and San Francisco.
The first episode of A Piece of Work drops on July 10. Broad City returns to Comedy Central on August 23.
