As the Jan. 6 hearings continue, we thought we’d remind you of a few people who supported the attacks on the Capitol and seemingly emerged unscathed, starting with Gilmore Girls actor David Sutcliffe.

On January 16, David Sutcliffe (the actor who plays Christopher Hayden) took to Twitter to discuss the raid by Trump supporters and white supremacists on the Capitol Building.

David retweeted (and later deleted) a video of a man smoking weed in the Capitol during the raid and wrote,

“There are rumors circulating that I ‘stormed the capital.’ Not true — though I would have been proud to share a smoke with this great Patriot!”

So many disturbing bits of information in this tweet.

First, those were not “patriots” but terrorists.

Second, he would have been “proud” to share a smoke with these people?! So, not only is David a Trump supporter (which we already knew), but he also supports white supremacists who threaten our democracy.

Wow. As if we didn’t already have enough reasons to hate Christopher.

According to a screenshot of a now-deleted tweet, David tweeted his support for Trump after the 2020 election and wrote,

“The election was love vs hate for Trump. Hate won.”

He has apparently tweeted other messages of support for Trump but has since deleted them all.

Since the raid, at least 25 cases of domestic terrorism have been opened by U.S. officials and more than 100 individuals have been arrested.

Since the Jan. 6 hearings began, more and more disturbing information has been revealed about that day. This included Trump attempting to pressure the Department of Justice to overturn the election, Trump pressuring Pence 11 times the morning of the insurrection to go along with his plans, several congressmen asking Trump for a pardon, many witnesses seeing Trump personally try to fake election results in battleground states, and much much more.
