We missed you, John Dorian!

Hold on to your hats kids because Scrubs’ star Zach Braff might be coming back to TV. No, not as the lovable John Dorian, but for a new ABC pilot called Start Up, based on the hugely successful podcast of the same name.

According to Variety, Braff would star as Alex Schuman, a journalist who leaves his job to start his own business. He’s teaming up with Scrubs writer/producer Matt Tarses, so it definitely has potential. The show hasn’t officially been picked up yet, but if it does, it would join ABC’s growing list of new series.

The podcast Start Up was brought to us by Gimlet Media’s Alex Blumberg and Matt Lieber and followed Blumberg’s journey as he quit his job at This American Life to start his own podcasting company.

We’re excited what the team at Gimlet and Braff have in store for us — hopefully we’ll get to see the final product!
