Just two months after her film Upgraded dropped, Camila Mendes has teamed up with Amazon Prime again for the highly-anticipated movie Música.
The movie — which Camila’s boyfriend Rudy Mancuso wrote, directed, composed, and starred in — follows Rudy in a coming-of-age story as he attempts to deal with his synesthesia, his love life, and the increasing pressures from his family.
Camila plays one of Rudy’s love interests, Isabella, a free spirit he meets partway through the movie.
For Camila, starring in the movie and getting to celebrate her Brazilian heritage was a huge deal. On Instagram, she wrote,
“The fact that I now have a film coming out that celebrates [the Brazilian-American] part of my identity in the most artful, cinematic way is beyond my wildest dreams.”
