Amy Poehler and Natasha Lyonne together again? To quote Amy, if we may: yes, please!

Netflix has officially ordered an 8-episode, straight-to-series comedy produced by Amy and Natasha and we couldn’t be more psyched.

And apparently, we’re not the only ones who are pumped. Natasha said in a statement that she was excited to work with “the GOAT with a heart of gold Amy Poehler.” She added,

“Deeply moved to work with such heavy hitters and to share our show with the world.”

According to Deadline, the episodes unravel over one night in New York City as Lyonne’s character navigates an inescapable party as the guest of honor. Honestly, leave it up to Poehler and Lyonne to come up with this one.

Lyonne has already had major success with Netflix on Orange is the New Black, and Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions has given us Broad City and Difficult People. So yes, we trust that this project will work. And we trust that it’ll add to our binge list of dry comedies with just the right amount of feminism and obscure pop culture references.
