Oh boy. Former Bachelor Chris Soules was arrested Monday night for his involvement in a fatal accident.
Chris was arrested and taken into custody for fleeing the scene of the crime. He has since been released, after posting $10,000 bail.
And now it seems he has officially been charged with a felony. This means he could face up to five years in prison and a potential fine. His preliminary hearing for the case will occur on May 2.
Just Jared reports that the accident occurred in Iowa, and Chris hit a John Deere tractor, killing the driver. In a statement via his lawyers, his attorneys state:
“Chris Soules was involved in an accident Monday evening (April 24) in a rural part of Iowa near his home. He was devastated to learn that Kenneth Mosher, the other person in the accident, passed away. His thoughts and prayers and with Mr. Mosher’s family.”
Although open containers were found in Chris’ car, the police were unable to run a timely blood alcohol test since Soules’ fled the scene.
The crash is still under investigation. Chris has since deleted his Instagram account.
