Let’s be real: Coachella fashion has a long history of cultural appropriation, tacky outfits, and even more cultural appropriation.
But some celebrities manage to avoid the pitfalls of cliché music festival ‘fits and actually find something super cute to wear.
For 2023 Coachella, we’ll be keeping track of what every celebrity rocks this year, and getting brutally honest about whether the look is a hit or a serious miss. Check out all the outfits below.

Kylie Jenner

I’m not quite sure what’s going on with her top here but the Courreges White Leather Jacket is beautiful. I wish she hadn’t opted for the oversized look since it’s already quite a dense jacket but to each their own.
Hailey Bieber

Anyone who knows me knows I’m not a fan of Hailey Bieber’s style and this outfit is exactly why. The look is boring, the jeans are unflattering, and the boots are just plain ugly.
Jenna Ortega

Jenna Ortega absolutely nailed this look! She managed to do festival fashion without looking too cliche. It’s her Thom Browne Brown Round Sunglasses that truly make the outfit though. (Find out where to get the rest of Jenna’s outfit here).
Shay Mitchell

I’m a huge fan of the brand Miaou so Shay’s brown leather corset top and matching brown leather mini skirt by the brand are definitely a stand-out for me. Her Khaite Black Boots are looking a little on the clunky side but the outfit is definitely still a hit.
Camila Morrone

Camila Morrone is completely owning the denim-on-denim trend. Her jeans fit her perfectly and her Khaite Denim Jacket is relaxed in just the right way. This is definitely a win.
Storm Reid

Storm Reid looks so cute here! Her Song of Style Pink Metallic Crop Top and cut-off denim shorts pair perfectly together and overall the outfit is sexy without trying too hard.
Suki Waterhouse

Suki’s outfit had so much potential! The sunglasses, Solid & Striped Blue Mixed Stripe Shirt, and jeans all look great together. But the Olga Berg blue mesh mini bag and white pumps — while cute — look like they belong to a totally different outfit.
Madison Bailey

The Aya Muse x Revolve Black Crochet Sequin Maxi Dress and tan platform hiking boots combo is definitely ~a choice~ but dare I say Madison Bailey is actually pulling it off?
Ariana Madix

This look is definitely a bit on the cliche side for festive wear but anyone who knows Ariana Madix’s style knows this is pretty much in line with her regular wardrobe so it feels significantly less forced. Plus, the crop top is a *great* color for her and overall she looks pretty cute.
Alessandra Ambrosio

There are not enough words to express quite how much I hate this outfit. Alessandra Ambrosio looks like she watched Daisy Jones & the Six *way* too many times and then went into her closet and threw on every accessory she owns. These Raisa Vanessa orange pants (which cost more than $1.8K!) need to be burned and then burned again. And trust me when I say, her other Coachella outfits were not much better.
Olivia Culpo

Predictable, cliche, and uninspired. But what else would you expect from a basic influencer like Olivia Culpo?
Amelia Grey Hamlin

Why, Amelia? Just why? The Miaou Denim Strapless Crop Top and matching Miaou Denim Midi Flare Skirt are winners but the Steve Madden Lace-Up Boots, the Matrix-style sunglasses, and the wet hair have no business being part of this look. Overall, Amelia looks like a hot mess.
Emma Roberts

This is one of three outfits Emma Roberts wore during the first Coachella weekend and it’s probably, sadly, the best out of all of them. Her looks have been consistently mediocre but I appreciate that she’s at least trying to make a statement with those Aldo yellow strappy platform sandals.
Hannah Godwin

Hannah Godwin usually has good (if a bit basic) taste and opts for romantic dresses and florals. But this look is just tacky. I know daytime sequins are a thing but this Lovers + Friends Silver Sequin Crop Top definitely should have been saved for the club.
Meredith Duxbury

Why Meredith would choose such an ill-fitting maxi skirt is seriously beyond me. Shouldn’t an influencer with endless access to cute clothing actually be able to get clothes that fit?
