Blake Lively has seriously stepped up her activism since her Gossip Girl days. The actress was at the Power of Women Luncheon where she was honored for her advocacy work against child pornography. But instead of asking about her awesome work, a reporter decided to ask about fashion.
Um, rude.
Lively responded perfectly and said,
“Are we really doing this? Would you ask a man that?”
Even better? The entire exchange was caught on camera.

Let’s be clear here, we’re all for some good fashion talk, but there is a time and place for that. And a women’s lunch where you’re honoring awesome ladies for their commitment to good causes is not the place.
The Power of Women lunch was hosted by Variety and was held to celebrate women who used their fame to bring attention to a cause. Other honorees included Jessica Chastain, Chelsea Clinton, Gayle King, Shari Redstone, and Audra McDonald.
Blake Lively also chatted with Variety on the red carpet about some actual issues including the Trump administration. She said,
“There’s a lot that’s worrying me [about the current administration] as a woman and a mother. I feel like there’s an awakening that’s happened … We can’t just retweet things. We have to do something about it.”
Lively is currently working with the Child Rescue Coalition to promote their new technology that flags the IP addresses of people who share and download child porn.
“There are millions of files all over the world being traded every single day of child pornography. It’s so disturbing. A lot of these people are fathers.”
