Jenna Dewan-Tatum and ex-hubby Channing are giving us serious #FeministGoals! The two are all about gaining women’s rights, and that means teaching their beliefs to their 3-year-old daughter Everly.
Speaking with Redbook, she said,
“We should want equality for men and women. Men should want that too. Chan is for women’s rights and so am I. Women should have the right to be the best they can be and make their own choices for themselves.”
And that’s the exact attitude the two are passing along to their daughter.
“Our daughter is young, but I think as she gets older, she’s going to be all about the standard for women we keep at home — she’s going to be strong.”
She added,
“We want our daughter to grow up confident and believing that she can go after whatever she wants.”
The Tatums contribute to a growing trend in Hollywood for celebs to raise their children with feminist ideals.
You’ll remember that Jenna and Channing met on the set of Step Up and both have gone on to have very successful careers. Channing gave us all chills in Magic Mike and Jenna is busy hosting the new NBC series World of Dance. Dewan-Tatum is a dancer at heart, so the project makes perfect sense for her.
