The highly-anticipated series Daisy Jones & the Six finally debuted on Amazon Prime and it’s giving us all the retro vibes we hoped for!
The series, which stars Riley Keough, Suki Waterhouse, and Camila Morrone, follows a 70s rock band that is definitely ~not~ inspired by Fleetwood Mac (wink, wink).
While the show follows the band’s rise to stardom after Daisy Jones (the Stevie Nicks-esque character), it also highly focuses on a love triangle within the band.
In addition to Daisy, there are three other badass female characters that Denise was tasked with dressing: Karen Sirko (Sukie Waterhouse), Camila Dunne (Camila Morrone), and Simone Jackson (Nabiyah Be).
For Karen’s looks, Denise found inspiration from people like Christine McVie, Ann and Nacy Wilson, Debbie Harry, and Jone Jett.
While many of the pieces were vintage, sourced from flea markets and online shops she also pulled modern pieces from Free People and Levi’s (the denim brand even created a curated collection available on Amazon).

According to Denise, this look was inspired by some pics of Christine McVie wearing a turtleneck.

Denise aimed to make Karen’s outfits more on the androgynous side, with Marc Bolan as one of her inspirations.
Episode 2, ‘Track 2: I’ll Take You There’

Even with Karen’s more tailored looks, glitter is still a must for any 70s glam rock band.

This striped long-sleeve tee remains a closet staple.

Loving the black jumpsuit and leather jacket combo!
