It’s Daisy Ridley’s second Star Wars film but she still isn’t ready for the fame that comes with the franchise.
The Last Jedi star recently chatted with E! after appearing on the movie’s panel. On fame, she said,
“It kind of hits me in bursts. After The Force Awakens came out, I was like, ‘Oh, my God! I can’t leave my house.’ It’s very weird to get my head around.”
We can understand why fame has been hard for her — Ridley has definitely had a rough go of it in the public eye. The actress notoriously quit Instagram and Twitter after she was attacked by fans for posting about gun violence. The original message said,
“Thinking about how lucky I am like… Serious bit: as I sat in the audience yesterday tears were streaming down my face at the tribute to those that have been lost to gun violence. I didn’t get a great picture of the incredible group that came on stage but they were so brave. It was a true moment of togetherness. We must #stoptheviolence.”
They claimed she was being a hypocrite for starring in a film with fake violence and then claiming to be against gun violence.
Although she still has an official Facebook page, we have a feeling that it’s controlled by her management.
The Last Jedi just released the first trailer for the film, which comes out December 15.
