Another day, another round of disturbing news.
On January 16, Gilmore Girls actor David Sutcliffe (aka Christopher Hayden) took to Twitter to discuss the recent raid by white supremacists on the Capitol Building.
David retweeted a video of a man smoking weed in the Capitol during the raid and wrote,
“There are rumors circulating that I ‘stormed the capital.’ Not true — though I would have been proud to share a smoke with this great Patriot!”
There are rumors circulating that I “stormed the capital.” ?
Not true – though I would have been proud to share a smoke with this great Patriot! https://t.co/SOG70tYIt0

So many disturbing bits of information in this tweet.
First, those were not “patriots” but terrorists.
Second, he would have been “proud” to share a smoke with these people?! So, not only is David a Trump supporter (which we already knew), but he also supports white supremacists who threaten our democracy.
Wow. As if we didn’t already have enough reasons to hate Christopher.
According to a screenshot of a now-deleted tweet, David tweeted his support for Trump after the 2020 election and wrote,
“The election was love vs hate for Trump. Hate won.”
He has apparently tweeted other messages of support for Trump but has since deleted them all.
Since the raid, at least 25 cases of domestic terrorism have been opened by U.S. officials and more than 100 individuals have been arrested. Arrests continue as officials learn the identities of those involved.
