Yep, you read that right.
There might be a Gilmore Girls second revival.
Talks between Netflix and the show’s creator Amy Sherman-Palladino are in the very early stages. Nothing is officially confirmed.
Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer of Netflix, spoke to the British Press Association. He says, “The worst thing is to wait a couple of years for your favorite show to come back and for it to disappoint you, but they sure delivered and people were really excited about more and we have been talking to them about the possibility of that”.
We’ll take that as a strong maybe.
With the growing popularity of reboots and remakes, we wouldn’t be shocked by a Gilmore Girls second revival. Plus, an answer to that cliffhanger ending would be nice.
However, we can’t help but wonder if these talks will come to fruition as cast and crew member have been very busy with new projects. Fox cast Lauren Graham as the lead in a new series, Alexis Bledel is starring in a Hulu original show, and Amazon announced that a new Amy Sherman-Palladino comedy is in the works.
If you get antsy while you wait for confirmation, you can join other superfans at this fall’s Gilmore Girls Fan Fest in Connecticut!
