After a year of cozy loungewear and sweats, we may never go back to wearing real pants ever again!
But just because we’re living a life of comfort doesn’t mean we want to sacrifice style. Luckily, Hailey Bieber seems to have mastered the look — and it’s all thanks to her stylist Maeve Reilly.
Maeve recently chatted with The Daily Front Row about how to take a look from the couch to the streets without looking like a hot mess.
Tip #1: Layer a dressy coat over your sweats.

She explains,
“What I like to do—and I’ve done this for a long time—is to put a dressy coat and a really clean pair of sneakers with a sweatsuit. Same with Hailey, we both love to layer. I’m sure you can find a million photos of her in this look as it’s a staple for us. I think it’s really cool and unique to the times.”
She later added,
“I think a coat really can elevate a look and take you from day to night. It’s a great investment, as long as it’s not too trendy. A beautiful camel coat can take you a long way.”
As far as affordable brands go, she loves buying coats from Zara, H&M, and The Frankie Shop. But if you have a little more money to spend, Isabel Marant is one of her top choices.
Tip #2: *Never* mix brands when rocking loungewear.

“I love a matching sweatsuit; I will never mismatch a sweatsuit—unless it’s with jeans—so that’s what you’ll see me in all the time.”
Maeve loves mixing high-end brands with affordable pieces so she’ll often turn to fast fashion when it comes to sweats.
“[Hailey and I] love Aritzia, Zara, Reformation… I mean, it’s real life! We’ll run into Urban Outfitters and grab a bunch of basics. It’s important to have them in your closet.”
So, now that you have your coat and sweats, the last piece to the puzzle is your shoes. Maeve’s personal favorites are Air Force Ones and Jordan High Tops.
