Newsflash: there’s room in this world for both Harry Styles and Niall Horan. The two former One Direction members just released new music and everyone is wondering who will win out.
As a follow-up to his first solo single “Our Town,” Horan has finally released a second single “Slow Hands.” The song is more of the same with a muted sexy rocker vibe. It looks like Niall is going for the whole O.A.R meets John Mayer vibe.
So why is everyone comparing him to Styles? It’s all about timing, baby.
Styles has recently released three new singles, with the song “Sweet Creature” literally bringing tears to fans eyes. After spending years and years together, there’s no doubt that Styles and Horan have a similar musical background, but that doesn’t mean you need to pit the two together. Guess what? There’s room in this business for both to have chart-topping hits. Fans are used to seeing one star rise to the top of a boy band (think Justin Timberlake in N*Sync) but we would love to see Zayn, Harry, and Niall find their own fans and their own paths.
