Blake Lively’s latest film It Ends With Us has just landed on Netflix and now we can finally see what all the hype was about.
And by “hype”, we mean controversy because the movie was literally shrouded in it.
To be fair, the book that the film was based on, was already fairly controversial on its own. Readers argued that the novel by Colleen Hoover romanticized domestic abuse.
The trailer and press rollout for the movie adaptation certainly didn’t help. If you didn’t know the story ahead of time, you would have thought that It Ends With Us was simply a rom-com.
And then there’s all the behind-the-scenes drama that allegedly went down between Blake Lively and her director/co-star Justin Baldoni.
As if that wasn’t enough, we also had to endure Blake’s endless parade of horribly ugly press outfits. Yikes!
Fortunately, Blake’s character Lily Bloom (an absolutely ridiculous name btw) is significantly better dressed.
