Coming out of fashion month, it’s clear that there are a ton of fun jewelry trends that are going to be huge in 2023.
Some are trends you probably already know about (hint: pearls are around to stay) and others will inspire you to add new pieces to your collection.
Below, check out some of our favorite trends that are hot right now — and some that are currently on the rise.
1. Charm Necklaces

90s and Y2K charm necklaces are officially back! These can either be fun pieces with acrylic charms or daintier pieces in gold.
If you’re looking for a cheap thrill, you can find a ton of these trendy necklaces on Urban Outfitters and ASOS. But if you prefer something a bit higher-end, you can opt for an independently-owned brand like Ian Charms, which has been rocked by celebrities like Hailey Bieber, Barbie Ferreira, Ariana Madix, Dua Lipa, and more.
2. Pearls

Tired of pearls? That’s too bad because pearl jewelry is still going strong! Everything from pearl necklaces to pearl drop earrings to pearl rings are as hot as ever. Case-in-point: Gigi Hadid’s giant pearl Versace ring that she recently wore on Next in Fashion season 2.
If you’re feeling a little tired of the trend, try mixing it up by opting for more unusual-shaped pearls rather than those smooth beads you usually see. They can make for a more subtle and romantic look.
3. #NoNecklaceTrend

Wait, necklaces are officially out? If you keep up with red carpet fashion then you might think so! A lot of celebs have been ditching necklaces in favor of other jewelry — or, gasp!, no jewelry at all — at big events like the Golden Globes, which is when the hashtag first started trending on TikTok.
If you prefer statement-making earrings, then ditching your necklaces might be a good choice for you. Otherwise, you can always opt for a super dainty piece if you’re not ready to give up on your necklaces completely.
4. Mixed Media

The old rules of only wearing gold with gold and silver with silver are officially gone! Because not only are fashion people mixing metals but they’re also mixing materials! That might mean a half pearl/half gold chain necklace, gold drop earrings with pearls, or even a set of gold and silver rings. The possibilities are endless!
If you’re a little iffy about mixing and matching, try buying an already-created set that has done the work for you. That way, you’ll know a designer or brand has already given the thumbs up and you can feel confident that you’re rocking the trend right.
5. Flower Power

Who doesn’t love to rock florals in spring? Flower-focused jewelry is huge right now, with daisies being some of the most popular picks for many brands.
One of our favorite flower power collections comes from the New York-based jewelry brand Enroute, which includes this super cute gold Daisy Rose Ring and these dainty gold Daisy Molecule Drop Earrings.
6. Statement-Making Cuffs

Bracelets have taken a backseat these last few years but it looks like they’re done being sidelined. Bold, chunky cuff bracelets were spotted on the runways of Givenchy, Tory Burch, Chanel, Hermes, and Bottega Veneta, with a ton of variety in materials.
If you’re not ready to rock a bold cuff, you can try starting out with a daintier one and then going from there.
7. Emerald Green

You’ve probably seen that emerald green is set to be one of the biggest colors of the season and that’s not only just reserved for clothing. Emerald jewelry is also making its way into our wardrobes with an emphasis on bold necklaces and earrings.
8. Dangle Earrings

For everyone out there ready to jump on the #NoNecklacceTrend, this one’s for you! Shoulder-grazing dangle and drop earrings were huge on the runway this season, as seen at shows like Tory Burch, Louis Vuitton, and Ulla Johnson.
A ton of the pieces combined other jewelry trends as well, whether it was mixed media, a long strand of pearls, or embellished flowers.
9. Silver

Gold is typically considered to be the more expensive-looking metal, but it seems like silver is ready to make a comeback. Silver pieces were a huge hit on the runways of Loewe and Missoni.
That said, we wouldn’t ditch our gold jewelry *just* yet. But we might be willing to consider evening out our collection!
10. Custom-Designed Jewelry

Buying off the rack is *so* last season. Custom jewelry — whether handmade by a seller on Etsy or designed by a large jewelry designer like Custom Jewelry Creations — is definitely becoming more and more popular as fashionistas look to put their individuality at the forefront.
The great thing about custom jewelry is that there’s a little something for everyone, whether you prefer dainty necklaces or opt for a chunky gold piece.
Custom jewelry is also huge when it comes to engagement rings, especially when it comes to celebrities. Celebs are notorious for designing their own engagement rings rather than buying already-designed pieces and the trend has definitely spread to the masses.
11. Pinky Rings

Believe it or not, pinky rings are actually making a comeback! Although pinky rings have been popular for centuries, they haven’t always had a great reputation, especially when worn by men. But pinky rings can be super cute, especially when combined with other pieces. A pinky ring worn on its own can look a little gauche but if it’s worn as part of a set, it can really help tie your look together.
12. Nose Piercings

Remember that nose piercing you got on a whim during freshman year of college? Well, you can finally rock a stud or ring again because nose piercings are officially back!
In fact, not only are nose piercings back on-trend, but folks are often going big, rocking chunky nose rings and chains for a statement-making look. Kim Kardashian and Lizzo have both rocked nose chains recently, sparking a conversation about cultural appropriation and whether or not they were appropriated naths, which are often worn in Hindu culture.
If you choose to go this route, make sure you’re careful about how you sport the look and know the history of the jewelry you rock.
