Justin Bieber Reflects on His Progress: 'Thank God I'm Not Where I Used to Be'

Justin Bieber’s 7-year career has been a whirlwind. As with many young stars, we have watched him rise and fall in the limelight.

In a new Instagram post, Bieber expresses his thanks for the progress he has made since those not-so-glowing years.Posting side-by-side pics, one of his 2014 mugshot and a current selfie, Justin wrote:

“I LOVE THIS because it reminds me I’M NOT EXACTLY WHERE I WANT TO BE BUT THANK GOD I’M NOT WHERE I USED TO BE!! THE BEST IS YET TO COME. DO YOU BELIEVE IT?”

This particular mugshot stems from his 2014 arrest, but you may recall that between 2012- 2014, Bieber saw several run-ins with the law. From reckless driving to vandalism, and the DUI that ultimately led to his arrest, Bieber made a series of selfish choices over those years.

It’s sad to see talented stars go down a bad path, so we hope this reflects true attempts for change in Bieber.

His entitled behavior of that time period was beyond obnoxious. Luckily no one was hurt from his selfish choices. It’s been a few years since these incidents, so we are willing to give him another chance if he continues to actively try to better himself.

Acknowledging that improving oneself is a journey is a good first step. Let’s see if Justin continues on this path, or if he just made such a post for the good publicity.
