Kaitlyn Bristowe has kept her mouth shut long enough. Soon after learning that former flame and current Bachelor Nick Viall was going to be on Dancing with the Stars, she spoke out about how The Bachelor creator had prevented her from appearing on the same exact reality show as Viall.

According to Bristowe, Fleiss did not allow her to compete on Dancing With The Stars after her win saying he “didn’t want people wanting fame after his show.”

This is ridiculous for many reasons, one of which being that many past Bachelorhave been on the show including Jake Pavelka and Sean Lowe.

Bristowe decided to call out Fleiss on Twitter, writing,

Fleiss responded cooling, writing,

To which Bristowe responded,

“I am a dancer and wanted to do it, [my fiancé] Shawn [Booth] wanted me to as well. He even wrote Mike emails. I told Mike it was my passion. I was told Shawn should be my only passion… My hope in speaking out is that future Bachelorettes are given the same opportunity as Bachelors. Whether it be a wedding, to dance, or another show. (Ben [Higgins] had the decision to do dancing or his own show). Just to be treated the same – to choose whatever will make them happy.”

We love when empowered women call out folks for sexism, but there’s one very real problem with this… a female Bachelor contestant has appeared on DWTS: Melissa Rycroft.

While not the featured Bachelorette herself, Rycroft was the winner of The Bachelor until her then-fiance Jason Mesnick changed his mind on live television and chose the runner-up instead.

But Rycroft’s participation on DWTS (twice) proves contrary to Bristowe’s claim that he wouldn’t allow female Bachelor alums to appear on the show. Not sure what else is going on here but definitely sounds like there’s some beef to be worked out between the two of them.

At the end of her season of The Bachelorette, Kaitlyn chose Shawn Booth and the two have remained together ever since.
