The Duchess talks the mental health of her two kiddies.
Mental health has become such a ubiquitous topic that even the royals are jumping on board. Kate Middleton, aka the Duchess of Cambridge, recently discussed the importance of getting help for mental health issues for your children.
In a recent podcast, Kate went on record to discuss how mental health in children has become a passionate issue for her.
“One in three adults still say they would be embarrassed to seek help for their child’s mental health. No parent would fail to call the doctor if their child developed a fever, yet some children are tackling tough times without the support that can help them because the adults in their life are scared to ask.”
She added, “It doesn’t need to be like this.”
Additionally, Kate said that she had hubbie Prince William would never think twice if their children needed care.
“Both William and I feel very strongly that we wouldn’t hesitate to get expert support for George and Charlotte if they need it.”
The podcast episode was part of the series Child in Mind hosted by the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families.
