Kendall Jenner’s Ad for Pepsi was the subject of much mockery and derision pretty much the moment it came out. Just say the words “Pepsi Fail” and pretty much everyone knows what you’re talking about.
Pepsi immediately pulled the commercial from YouTube and proceeded to issue a statement of apology for their snafu. But Jenner remained mum, even hiding from social media and the paparazzi while the whole thing played out.
But now she’s ready to speak out… kind of. While appearing on Watch What Happens Live!, sister Kim Kardashian took the opportunity to express her sister’s remorse for the commercial. She told Andy Cohen,
“She totally understood at the end of the day and she felt really awful for it.”
“I didn’t see it until it had already gotten the attention, so you obviously have a different perspective when everyone’s just saying something.”
And then reiterated that her sis Kendall would never do anything to hurt anyone intentionally.
“I think anytime someone does anything they don’t have bad intentions — especially Kendall, who’s so sensitive. She would never mean for anyone to perceive anything in a negative way.”
We always appreciate the family loyalty in the Kardashian-Jenner clan, but it would still be nice to hear this straight from Kendall herself. She’s a big girl, she can speak for herself!
Immediately following the Pepsi incident, Jenner had yet another PR nightmare after fans attacked her cover for Vogue India for the 10th-anniversary issue. We realize Jenner is still young but we hope she’s learned a few valuable lessons from the incidents. And we’ll hold out hope that Kendall will step up and apologize for herself.
