Selena Gomez returned to Cannes this year and she looked absolutely gorgeous!
Selena walked the red carpet for her new film Emilia Pérez, a Spanish-language film that also stars Zoe Saldaña and Karla Sofía Gascón.
According to Variety, the musical movie follows Zoe Saldaña, a lawyer, who ends up helping a drug cartel leader (Karla Sofía Gascón) complete a sex change in order to evade authorities and become the woman she always wanted to be.
The film premiered in Cannes on Saturday, May 18, where the trio walked the red carpet. Selena wore a gorgeous Saint Laurent black and white off-the-shoulder gown with a BVLGARI white gold diamond necklace and BVLGARI white gold diamond drop earrings.
And, of course, Sel rocked a face full of Rare Beauty, her own makeup company.
Selena’s long-time makeup artist Hung Vanngo revealed the exact products he used to get Selena’s red carpet look, as well as how he prepped her skin in advance.

Skin Prep
For the look, Hung revealed he partnered with iconic skincare brand Cetaphil to get Sel’s face prepped for makeup.
1. Cleanse
Hung used Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser on Selena’s face and then wiped it off with a wet cloth. It’s worth noting that he didn’t use water in the process so the product would set in, giving “added hydration”
2. Eye Serum
The makeup artist then “gently tapped” Cetaphil Healthy Renew Eye Gel Serum along the orbital bone (aka the bone under your eyes).
3. Moisturize
Moisturizing is a must and Hung used Cetaphil Daily Moisturizer with SPF 35.

To get Selena’s light smokey eye, Hung used Rare Beauty All of the Above Weightless Eyeshadow Stick in the shade Rose Taupe, Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes Matte Liquid Eyeliner, and Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes Volumizing Mascara.
The Face
To create Selena’s glow, Hung used Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Luminous Powder Blush in the shade Joy (Rare beauty’s newest product launch!) and Rare Beauty Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter in the shade Mesmerize.
The Lips
And finally, the lips! Hung went for a shade of brown with Rare Beauty Kind Words Matte Lipstick in the shade Talented and Rare Beauty Kind Words Matte Lip Liner also in the shade Talented.
Nails
According to Selena’s longtime nail artist Tom Bachik, he used Essie Red Gel Couture Nail Polish, which he called “a perfect Parisian red”.
