Lupita is not going to stand for anti-immigration laws or attitudes.

Lupita Nyong’o and Rosario Dawson are getting real about immigration in America. And it’s about time!

The two recently joined a growing group of celebs for the “I Am An Immigrant” campaign led by non-profit

Lupita, born in Mexico and raised in Kenya, said,

“What I think is so wonderful about America is it’s a society of immigrants. The notion of America not supporting immigrants, to me is absurd. When you look at history, America was built on immigrants.”

Truth! Rosario is also advocating to raise awareness about immigration in the United States. She added,

“People say ‘Well, my family came over on the Mayflower’ and I’m like ‘Exactly! Hello Immigrant!'”

Joining Rosario and Lupita for the cause will be fellow celebs Wilmer Valderrama, Guillermo Diaz, Bobby Cannavale, Alan Cumming, and Tracee Ellis Ross.
