Finally, Netflix announced the release date for Master of None Season 2!
Fans can expect to see the series return to the streaming service on May 12, 2017.
It’s been a long time coming, as season 1 premiered in November 2015, and the series was renewed in February 2016.
Creator/actor Aziz Ansari frequently hinted that season 2 was in the works, but that the cast and crew were in no rush to release it. It seems like long hiatuses followed by amazing releases is successful in the entertainment biz. (Hi Adele, Ed Sheeran, and Beyoncé).
Ansari recently hosted SNL, and has been a strong Trump opponent, particularly in regards to his anti-Muslim attitudes. He even wrote a piece in the New York Times about it. We imagine this will come into play in the new season.
Netflix also dropped a 15-second teaser trailer for the announcement. Hopefully, a lengthier and more detailed trailer is to come to hold us over!
