The Plastics are back! Although, did they ever really leave??
Tina Fey has returned with a new version of her iconic film Mean Girls — this time in the form of a musical. Based on the hit Broadway show (which is based on the hit movie), Mean Girls (2024) features all your same favorite characters except, this time, they can sing!
The cast includes Angourie Rice (The Last Thing He Told Me, Mare of Easttown), Renee Rapp (from the Broadway musical Mean Girls), Avantika Vandanapu (Senior Year), Christopher Briney (The Summer I Turned Pretty), Auli’i Cravalho (Moana), and Bebe Wood (Love, Victor).
The movie also sees the return of Mean Girl OG cast members Tina Fey and Tim Meadows.
In addition to the cast, the wardrobe also got an update with the Plastics rocking brands like Cider, Urban Outfitters, and Topshop. (Although the current fashion trends are all about the early aughts, so the aesthetic isn’t really all that different from the original 2004 film.)
