After a long wait, Emily in Paris is finally back for season 2 with everything you loved the first time — love triangles, drama, and, of course, fashion.
Emily Cooper’s outfits never fail to disappoint, although her style has definitely evolved a bit. She’s (mostly) ditched the berets in favor of… moto gloves? Apparently, Emily has become quite a fan of fingerless leather driving gloves and wears them with nearly every outfit.
But that doesn’t mean that Emily (played by actress Lily Collins) has ditched her dramatic, high fashion looks. In season 2, she rocks some incredible looks including an oversized pink and black bow mini dress and a red ruffled tulle gown.
Emily’s gorgeous outfits are courtesy of costume designer Patricia Field, best known for her work on Sex and the City. Patricia’s favorite look this season? She told Page Six,
“She takes the railroad from Paris to the French Riviera and gets off the train and she’s wearing this silk coat — really pretty, with a light print on it — and the white fingerless gloves. I was really happy with it.”
In fact, those fingerless gloves became a bit of obsession for Patricia (as evident by Emily’s wardrobe). She explained,
“I love gloves, and gloves need to be resurrected from the vintage shop. I was like, ‘I’m going to bring back the glove to the modern-day girl who rides a bike, who drives a car.'”
