Sofia Vergara is moving on up — in the cartel business that is. In Netflix’s latest mini series Griselda, Sofia plays the titular character through her rise in the drug scene in Miami.
The series is inspired by the true story of Griselda Blanco, who was dubbed the “Godmother” of Miami’s drug empire in the late 70s and 80s.
Of course, with any period piece, authenticity is key, and that means getting the fashion exactly right.
According to costume designer Safowa Bright Bitzelberger, the team sourced some pieces from local vintage stores. But most of the clothes ended up being completely custom made — they even digitally printed their own patterns!
Unfortunately for viewers, that means getting their hands on Sofia’s outfits are next to impossible. But we did some digging, and found some great dupes so you can recreate her best looks.
