Wednesday Addams’ makeup is always 100% on-point but her beauty look for the Venetian Gala in Wednesday season 2 episode 7 was truly stunning.
Nirvana Jalalvand, the makeup artist behind the look, recently broke down the exact products she used for it and how to recreate it.
In a video on Instagram, Nirvana explained that she exclusively Pat McGrath products for the look, with a focus on Wednesday’s eye makeup.
Eagle-eyed fans have correctly guessed that Wednesday’s eye makeup is a direct reference to her raven abilities. Nirvana said she created a “feathered effect” underneath the eye and a double wing in the outer and inner corners of the eye. For a full breakdown of the products used, keep reading below.

Eyes

For Jenna Ortega’s eye makeup, Nirvana first used the IntensifEYES Longwear Eyeshadow Primer to set the base.
She then used the Mothership I: Subliminal Eyeshadow Palette, blending the shades Xtreme Black, Ultimate Taupe, and Depth.
She completed the look by using the Permagel Ultra Glide Eye Pencil, the Perma Precision Liquid Eyeliner, and the Dark Star Volumizing Mascara.
Face

To create Jenna’s “doll-like” skin, Nirvana used the Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Weightless Foundation as the base.
To carve out Jenna’s cheekbones, she returned to the Mothership I Eyeshadow Palette, using the shade Ultimate Taupe.
Finally, she used the Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Blurring Under Eye Powder all over her face (except under the eyes!!).
Lips
Jenna’s lips were kept simple with the MatteTrance Lipstick in the shade Guinevere.
Hair

Nirvana was also in charge of Jenna’s hair for the gala, a braided updo that was much more intricate than we got to see in the episode. The artist says the inspiration came from the looks at the Dior Couture F/W 2024 Runway Show.
The Dress

Of course, Nirvana had to consult with the costume department before creating Jenna’s beauty look.
Jenna’s black gown was custom-designed by costume leads Colleen Atwood and Mark Sutherland, who took inspiration from Oscar Wilde, whose sense of humor and wit reminded them of Wednesday Addams.
Colleen said she used the Oscar Wilde inspo for the waist up, describing the top of the dress as, “a men’s tailored waist coat”. Meanwhile, the bottom was a feminine dress to match the occasion.
