Ready or not, Nick Viall is coming back to TV.
But don’t worry, despite his recent breakup with Vanessa Grimaldi, his return to television is not Bachelor-related. But it is on ABC!
The Bachelor star is slated to guest star on ABC’s comedy Speechless, which is in its second season.
E! News reports that,
“Nick will take on the role of Tyson, a hunky B-movie actor who is a little too method. After he befriends JJ (Micah Fowler) on a movie set, Tyson will attempt to put on the performance of a lifetime in order to deceive Maya (Minnie Driver) and Jimmy (John Ross Bowie) to help get his new friend out of trouble.”
Honestly, we’re kind of excited about this. ABC’s comedies are top-notch, and Speechless is no exception. If you haven’t been watching it, you’re missing out and should probably catch up.
Although this kind of cameo feels a little gimmicky, we are willing to give Nick a chance. Back in July, it was reported that Nick was taking intensive acting courses out in LA. It seems like it is something he is taking seriously.
Granted, his many rounds on the Bachelor franchise and his stint on Dancing with the Stars probably gave him an edge in the casting process, but still. Speechless is a really well-written and well-developed show and we trust that the writers didn’t just pick Nick for no reason.
