Nordstrom is telling Ivanka Trump, “you’re fired!”. At least for now.
You won’t be finding the first daughter’s clothing line at the esteemed department store this spring. Nordstrom has taken the brand of its website and has not bought clothes from the line for the spring season.
Says the store in a statement, “we’ve said all along we make buying decisions based on performance…in this case, based on the brand’s performance, we’ve decided not to buy it for this season”.
This poor performance is likely due to the #GrabYourWallet campaign, which launched last fall in response to the Trump campaign. The movement encourages people boycott retailers that do business with the Trump family. If you are interested in getting involved with the campaign, you can find a list of retailers on their website.
Actions really can speak louder than words.
